DINAMO RIGA has reached an agreement with the American defenceman Cade Fairchild, who represented Rögle BK of the Swedish Hockey League.

Cade Fairchild (180 cm, 86 kg) was born on 15 January 1989 in Duluth, Minnesota, USA. His hockey career started at the Duluth East High junior team. In 2007 he was drafted in the fourth round with the number 96 by St. Louis Blues.
As a junior, Fairchild represented the USA at the U18 (gold in 2006, silver in 2007) and U20 world championships.
The defenceman played for the University of Minnesota in the NCAA for four seasons and in the first year was included in the all-rookie team of the season.

Following four seasons in the NCAA, he joined St. Louis Blues at the start of 2011/2012 season, playing five games (one assist) and was sent to the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen, where he remained for two seasons. In the 2013/2014 season, Fairchild played for a total of three teams: Chicago Wolves, playing 33 games, and then he played two matches for the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings. The defenceman returned to the AHL as a player in a new team – the Portland Pirates.

In the 2014/2015 season, the defenceman moved to the KHL joining Metallurg Novokuznetsk, where he played for two seasons. In the two most recent seasons Fairchild played for Rögle BK of the Swedish top league.
The defenceman has played a total of five games in the NHL (1 assist), 158 in the AHL (10+57), 109 in the KHL (8+28) and in the SHL (7+70).
